Import your own base
Importing your own base of startups and innovation agents is a fundamental step to strengthening the open innovation ecosystem within an organization. By creating a personalized base, you can ensure that the actors involved in your calls and innovation projects are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives, increasing the chances of success of the initiatives. The possibility of customizing the base allows you to select startups and partners with the ideal profile, which is a recommended practice for companies seeking efficiency and assertiveness in their innovation processes.
To obtain reliable data about startups, you can explore public sources, innovation databases and entrepreneur networks, as well as maintain close relationships with hubs and accelerators. These practices help maintain an updated and relevant database, essential for success in open innovation projects.
Own Base Structure
The resource for importing your own database is available in the innovation call prospecting section and can be accessed in the projects tab. In this space, you can view agents already available in the Quiker database and add new agents through the “Import Own Base” feature. When selecting this option, it is possible to download an Excel spreadsheet template (.xlsx format) that already comes with the necessary fields for each agent’s registration.
Mandatory fields present in the template include:
- Segment: Area of activity of the startup or company.
- Asset Type: Agent classification (e.g.: startup, partner, supplier, research project).
- Name: Name of the company, startup or organization.
- Solution: Brief description of the solution or product offered.
- Technologies: Technologies used or offered by the company.
- Year of foundation: Year in which the company was founded.
- Number of Employees: Number of employees in the company.
- Telephone: The company’s main contact telephone number.
- Founders: Name(s) of the founders or main responsible parties.
- CNPJ: National Register of Legal Entities of the company for identification.
This data is essential for registering and categorizing each agent, facilitating access and management of these contacts within the platform. After importing the completed spreadsheet, registered agents are available in the database and can be used as guests, participants or stakeholders in calls and projects, depending on the purpose of each initiative. The action of inviting is carried out by selecting agents — you can select all of them or use filters to categorize those that make sense for the initiative — and then clicking on the ‘Invite Startup’ button.
