Project Settings

After creating a project, you can review and adjust its settings at any time through the Hub. This page serves as an index of the project’s internal tabs — each topic is detailed in a dedicated subpage.

Main configurable data

Most of the project’s configurable data is in the Summary tab:

FieldDescription
Project name / titleProject identification, displayed in the list and in the Gantt view.
CodeProject identifier, displayed next to the title in both the list view and the Gantt view.
CategoryClassification label for the project (previously registered in Hub Settings → Categories), used to segment, filter, and analyze projects.
OwnerThe only user with full permission over the project — see Team.
StatusNot started, in progress, completed, delayed, or canceled — reflected in the progress bar and in the portfolio dashboards.
ProgressCompletion percentage calculated based on the schedule’s tasks.
Start and end datesDefine the project’s execution period.
Budget and GainsPlanned and actual amounts, detailed in the corresponding tabs.
Planning CycleOptional link that integrates the project into the cycle’s Strategic Goals dashboards.

Warning — distinct status scales: the individual task statuses within the Schedule (not started, in progress, completed, delayed, paused) are different from the status of the Project as a whole (not started, in progress, completed, delayed, canceled). They are two distinct scales — one at the project level and another at the level of each task.

Project permissions

Access to Projects varies according to the user’s profile on the platform. Here is what each profile can view and manage:

ProfileViewingEditing / Management
AdministratorUnrestricted access to all Hub projects.Creates, links, and edits any project (even without being a member); can start, pause, or close any project.
ManagerSees projects associated with the campaigns they manage + projects they are a member of.Creates new projects; edits/deletes only the projects they work on directly; does not access projects outside their scope.
Collaborator / ParticipantSees only the projects they are linked to as team members. Can edit and update the projects/tasks they participate in.

Note: For the full permission matrix of all platform profiles, see Profiles and Permissions.

Project-internal roles (Team)

Within each project, team members take on one of the following three roles. These roles are internal to the project and should not be confused with the global Hub profiles described above.

  • Owner — the only user with full permission over the project; leads execution and is accountable for results.
  • Collaborator — executes tasks and records progress.
  • Observer — follows the progress without editing tasks or information.

Info: project-internal roles are not tied to the user’s global Hub profiles. In other words, any user — whether Administrator, Manager, Collaborator, or Participant — can be designated as Owner, Collaborator, or Observer within a specific project, regardless of their global profile on the platform.

See details in Team.
