Basic Concepts

The Quiker platform uses specific terms throughout its interface and documentation. Knowing these concepts from the start will help you navigate with more confidence, configure the environment correctly, and understand the guidance in the guides and tutorials. Below you will find the main terms organized as a list:

  • Hub: the organization’s main environment on the Quiker platform. Each organization has its own exclusive Hub, accessible after login. The Hub is where users, campaigns, projects, and settings are created and managed. Think of the Hub as your organization’s “digital office” in Quiker.
  • User Profile: the access level assigned to each person in the Hub. The available profiles are: Administrator, Manager, Collaborator, and Participant. Each profile defines which sections of the side menu are visible and which actions are available — ensuring each user sees only what is relevant to their role.
  • Collaboration Board: Quiker’s simplified interface aimed at collaborators and participants who do not need access to the full Hub. On the Board, users can view the campaigns they participate in, track their activities and pending items, and interact with the organization’s initiatives in a direct, intuitive way, without worrying about administrative settings.
  • Planning Cycle: the strategic period (quarter, semester, or year) used to organize and frame the organization’s objectives, campaigns, and projects. The cycle works as the foundation for tracking the progress and results of the campaigns and projects registered on the platform. An active cycle is required for new campaigns and projects to be linked to strategic objectives. At the end of the period, the cycle can be closed and a new one started, preserving the previous cycle’s history and indicators.
  • Indicator: Indicators work as a complement to measuring the hub’s operational results and can be tracked in the Planning section. They can be edited or added at any time, ensuring flexibility and alignment with strategic needs throughout the cycle.
  • Campaign: an initiative with a defined objective, timeframe, and participants. Campaigns can be of different types — recognition, engagement, or performance evaluation — and let you track participants’ progress over the period.
  • Project: an organized set of tasks and deliverables, with defined owners and dates, linked to a Planning Cycle (not mandatory). Projects let you detail how strategic objectives will be executed in practice, distributing responsibilities among team members and monitoring progress in real time.
  • Category: a classification used to organize projects and campaigns by theme, area, or type (for example: Marketing, Operations, HR). Categories make it easier to filter and group initiatives and projects in the Hub’s dashboards and reports.
  • Spending Category: an expense type used in the financial control of projects. When recording costs in a project, you associate each entry with a spending category (for example: Personnel, Infrastructure, Suppliers), making it easier to generate financial reports and track the budget.
  • SSO (Single Sign-On): a corporate authentication method that lets users log in to Quiker using their company credentials — such as their corporate domain username and password or an identity provider account (for example, Google Workspace or Azure AD) — without having to create/manage a separate password or profile for the platform. SSO is enabled and configured by the Hub Administrator.
