Permissions

The Permissions tab controls three aspects of the campaign: its visibility to users, who the responsible managers are, and how evaluators act on initiatives.

Visibility

The campaign can have three visibility levels:

  • Public — any user, including users who are not logged in or have no account on the platform, can view and submit initiatives, both through the Collaboration Board and through the external area (landing page). Typical use: open innovation.
  • Internal users only (Internal) — access restricted to users authenticated in the Hub (collaborators, managers, administrators); external users cannot view or participate. Typical use: internal/closed innovation.
  • Restricted users — access limited to a specific group of Hub users, selected manually. Typical use: campaigns targeted at a department or business unit.

Warning: Older documentation refers to these options as Private, Open Innovation, and Internal Innovation. The concepts are the same, but the labels may vary between platform versions.

Campaign managers

  • Selected from users already registered with the Manager or Administrator profile in the Hub — you cannot promote a user to campaign manager directly from this modal; you must first change their profile in Hub Users.
  • No limit on the number of managers per campaign.
  • Manager permissions: edit all campaign information, create, edit, and delete stages, manage initiatives, and define evaluators.
  • Only Hub administrators can add or remove managers from a campaign.
  • A Manager can only edit/delete campaigns in which they are themselves defined as a manager — they have no visibility/management over the others.

Evaluators

Any Hub user can be designated as an evaluator, regardless of profile (collaborator, participant, manager, administrator). For each evaluator, you can configure granularly:

  • Funnel stages they can view/evaluate — all of them, or only specific stages.
  • Specific challenges they can evaluate — useful when the campaign has multiple challenges and you want to segment by expertise.
  • Whether they can view other evaluators’ scores.
  • Whether they can move initiatives between funnel stages (respecting the stages they have access to).
  • Whether they can edit specific sections of the initiative’s form (e.g., an “Assessment” field reserved for the evaluator).

Note: A complementary profile called Evaluator (an additional permission on top of the base Collaborator profile) has access restricted to the Board, the selection funnel, and evaluation only in the campaigns where they are registered. See Profiles and Permissions.
